June is LGBTQ+ Pride month! 🌈 It's a time to honour the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community across the globe. The Stonewall Uprising was a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the USA and saw the LGBTQ+ community stand against police brutality for six days. The first Pride march was held exactly a year afterwards in June 1970 and is deemed to be the birth of the Pride march that many of us know and love today.
