This natural pre-wash hair and scalp oil treatment deeply nourishes the scalp and hair, promoting healthy hair growth and manageability. Targets dryness and damage using sustainably sourced, upcycled ingredients.

This scalp + hair oil features upcycled Bacuri butter, a haircare powerhouse, rich in amino and fatty acids that help restore and repair damaged hair, boosting natural shine and softness. It also contains rosemary essential oil to invigorate the scalp and promote new hair growth, and sweet almond oil, which enhances softness and shine, while improving the hair’s texture and smoothing frizz and flyaways.

THE SCIENCY BIT! Bacuri butter boasts FIVE multifunctional benefits: It repairs, strengthens, protects against UV rays, improves moisture retention and provides long-lasting nourishment. Sustainably sourced from Brazil, bacuri butter is extracted from the seeds of the bacuri fruit. While the fruit pulp is traditionally used to make juices, sweets and ice cream, the seeds, once discarded, are now upcycled to create our nourishing, vitamin-rich butter.

HOW TO USE

Apply a generous amount of the Scalp + Hair Oil directly onto hair, focusing on the scalp, roots and ends. Gently massage with your fingertips for 2 to 5 minutes to stimulate microcirculation and nourish the scalp. Leave the oil on for a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes, or overnight for an intensive treatment. Wash and style as usual. Use once or twice a week. BONUS TIP: For an extra boost, lightly mist your hair with water before applying the oil. This helps the oil form a protective barrier around each hair strand, locking in moisture and supporting elasticity. This ensures hair stays nourished, resilient, and beautifully soft.

Is this suitable for textured & curly hair?

Yes. Curly and textured hair often needs extra moisture and slip, and this pre-shampoo oil is packed with lightweight emollients and nourishing butters to hydrate, soften, and reduce frizz. For very coarse or dense curls, use a little more and focus on the mid-lengths and ends for optimal nourishment.

How does the oil help hair growth?

The oil supports hair growth through a combination of scalp stimulation, nourishment, and follicle care: Rosemary Oil - naturally boosts circulation to the scalp, helping follicles receive more nutrients and oxygen for stronger, healthier hair.Coffee Oil - rich in antioxidants and caffeine, it energises the scalp and protects follicles from oxidative stress, supporting resilient hair growth.Castor Oil & Sweet Almond Oil - hydrate and nourish the scalp, helping maintain a healthy environment for follicles to thrive.Pre-Shampoo Barrier - applying the oil before washing reduces damage and protein loss, keeping hair stronger and less prone to breakage, which makes hair appear fuller over time. Is it a pre-wash or post wash treatment?

It’s designed as a pre-shampoo treatment. Apply a few drops to your scalp and hair 15–30 minutes before washing to protect strands, nourish follicles, and reduce breakage. You can optionally use a tiny amount on mid-lengths and ends after washing to refresh shine or tame dryness, but its main benefits come before shampoo.

Is this suitable for fine hair?

Yes. Even on fine hair, the combination of rosemary and coffee oils helps stimulate scalp circulation and nourish follicles, supporting fuller-looking, stronger strands. Start with just 1–2 drops, warm in your palms, and focus on the scalp and mid-lengths to avoid weighing hair down while still promoting thickness.

How much product should be used?

A little goes a long way. Start with 1–3 drops for fine hair, or a few more for thicker or longer hair. Warm the oil in your palms, then massage into the scalp and work through the mid-lengths and ends.

What is the difference between a serum vs oil?

Hair Oil (like our Scalp + Hair Oil) is mainly for pre-wash nourishment. It penetrates the scalp and hair shaft to strengthen, hydrate, reduce breakage, and support growth. It’s rich in natural oils and butters, so a little goes a long way. Hair Serum (like our Hair Serum) is usually post-wash or styling-focused. It protects hair from heat, smooths frizz, locks in moisture, and improves manageability. Serums are lightweight, fast-absorbing, and help your style last longer.
